The case highlights the interaction between mental health, lifestyle, family and social factors. Please be sure to have a student take notes and be ready to present out.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; 4:15PM -4:20PM: Session admins conclude Breakout Groups and reconvene participants into main symposium room\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; 4:20PM &#8211; 5:20PM: Breakout Group presentations on case results\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; 5:20PM &#8211; 5:30PM: Closing\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>VIPE Format<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Work in student teams, representing health disciplines from multiple universities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Be assigned an IPE faculty facilitator<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Attend an online virtual Interprofessional education session<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Engage in a discussion of interprofessional care through case vignette(s)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>What is Interprofessional Education?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">World Health Organization Definition of Interprofessional Education (IPE) and Collaborative Practice: \u201cInterprofessional education occurs when students from two or more professions learn about, from and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes. Interprofessional education is a necessary step in preparing a \u201ccollaborative practice-ready\u201d health workforce that is better prepared to respond to local health needs. A collaborative practice-ready health worker is someone who has learned how to work in an interprofessional team and is competent to do so. Collaborative practice happens when multiple health workers from different professional backgrounds work together with patients, families, carers and communities to deliver the highest quality of care.
